ITMA Materials Technology collaborates in the organization of the XIV National Congress on Materials

 The XIV National Congress on Materials will be held at the Polytechnic Engineering School of Gijón (University of Oviedo) from June 8th to June 10th 2016. As in past editions, the event constitutes the perfect venue among researchers of different scope within the field of materials science and technology. Furthermore, it is aimed to integrate the industrial sectors involved in the development of new materials and processes, so as in the sustainability of strategic resources.

Several material-related topics are included in the event, as the following: metallic materials, ceramics, polymers, nanomaterials, materials for energy, mechanical behaviour, fracture, corrosion or surface treatments. In addition, the congress organization, together with Sociemat, has decided to arrange 10 specific symposia, with its own specific committee within the congress. ITMA Materials Technology is also present, and leading, some of the above mentioned symposia.

The aim is to promote the interaction of all the scientific-technological community that works in the area of materials, for a better knowledge on the activities and research that is being done by the different groups in specific research topics.
