This unit develops thin films on various substrates by different deposition methods, vacuum or wet processes. Metallic, semi-metallic and isolating mono and multi-layers are produced. Moreover metallic nanostructures (nanofibers, nanoparticles, etc.) and carbon nanostructures (nanotubes, graphene, etc.) are produced with conductive and electromagnetic properties. All types of coatings and surfaces are characterized by a wide range of equipment (morphology, roughness, hardness, wear resistance, conductivity, chemical analysis, transmittance, etc.
