Solutions against degradation problems
Degradation resulting from corrosion, scaling and fouling processes is an issue which has implications for the integrity, serviceability and aesthetics of materials and components. The steelmaking, energy, chemical, petrochemical, infrastructures or transport sectors among others afford every year the extra costs generated by those problems.
The corrosion and surface integrity unit offers its expertise to prevent, detect and analyze the degradation problems that arise on metallic materials and their coatings, as well as to propose viable solutions.
The Surface Integrity and Corrosion unit offers a set of specialised activities, either through materials´ selection studies and failure analysis, as surface behaviour at extreme conditions studies, fitness for service studies or corrosion integral management.
